Wearable art

I created a hand bag for my loving wife. And after she saw it she just had to have a matching wallet and shoes. So I bought jet some cute shoes and found a wallet. I always find it fun to paint on things other than canvas.

Art show

I was recently invited to do an art show and that show is tomorrow. I am so excited to be in the scene again. I have my own room and I will be bringing 15 pieces. I will post pictures from the show.

Artistic green lamp

I recently found a discarded lamp and thought it would be awesome to make an art piece out of it. Since the lamp was used, I thought I would use used spray paint cans for the shades. When its done everything will be painted with portraits on the cans.

Creative Juices

Trying to find the creative mojo needed to create a new painting can sometimes be troublesome. Especially when you have three young kids, that need your constant devotion. But sometimes, I don't need to be inspired to create. Some times it just takes the imagination of three kids.
My kids help me out a lot with what I am working on. I doodle everyday, and with their help from time to time, I can create something that I never would have thought of. My latest series of paintings are abstract fish eyes. It came about one day when I was just dabbling with my a pen and some paper. My son, Caden, came over and was just staring at the little pictures. Playing the 50 million question game. Finally, out of the innocent, imagination, only a 5 year old can have, he said that they looked like, "beautiful, fish eyes." Then he went back to playing with his sister. I sat there, thinking, trying to see what my son had seen. But it did not come to me. A day later, at work. It came.
Finally, I was inspired. Excited about the paintings that were there, in the back of my mind, and in the imagination of a creative 5 year old. That was five paintings ago. I have truly found a spark that I so desperately needed. And it came from left field. A place in my life that I never thought would drive me to create, beautiful, inspired works of art.

the website

I have been working on my website for the past 2 days. Trying to put the finishing touches on it. Excited, because I feel there is a bigger focal point on my paintings. Especially my new ones. Some of my best ones yet. There will be more to come, because I am working on some new paintings. Come check it out, and let me know what everyone thinks.
